Drug Delivery System Excellence Center in Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University was established in 2007. Nowadays, research in drug delivery fields is actively carried out in Thailand. The search for a lead compound is a very difficult task therefore drug delivery will be the focal point of Thai researcher. As we work together we hope that we can stimulate and generate a stimulating atmosphere and activities. Also, the expansion of graduate studies generates opportunities to keep pace with advances in technology.
The strength of our center arises from our well qualified members and the excellent facilities for teaching and research. The center currently has over 20 academic staff members. Further expansion of the center is expected to continue for the near future. We also welcome other disciplines and members of staff from other universities nationally or internationally. With these members, the center maintains a rigorous research environment with activities spanning both conventional and new emerging areas of research in drug delivery.
Multidisciplinary research is fostered and in particular, the unique combination of different delivery systems promotes synergy and offers new initiatives in research. Our research efforts have resulted in several publications in leading journals of pharmaceutical sciences over the last five years. The center will maintain robust ties with the industry and oversea institutes through collaborative research as well as students exchange program.
